The Workshop attracted 100 participants from a total of 30 countries, from every continent. During his closing speech, Dr. Theo Lippeveld, RHINO Board of Directors Chairman, noted that the participants represented a good balance between data users and data producers as was explicitly asked for by the RHINO Board of Directors. "We wanted to bring together data people and action people," said Dr. Lippeveld.
Participants left the Workshop energized and inspired. They created action plans to advocate for strong RHIS and to incorporate the PRISM tools to measure and strengthen RHIS in their respective countries.
The workshop concluded with sweet treats hidden in a rhinoceros shaped piñata. See photos.
